Amista is for meeting people at real events. These rules protect that. When we act against your content or account, the message you receive in the app always says what we did, its scope and how long it lasts; what we based it on and whether we acted on a report or on our own initiative; whether we used automated means; which rule below (or which provision of the terms, or which law) was broken and why; and how to appeal.

1Be a real person

One account, your own name or a nickname that doesn't belong to someone else. No impersonating other people, communities or Amista.

2No sexual content involving minors — ever

We hide such material as soon as it is reported and preserve it so that it cannot be deleted. Where we suspect a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of a person, in particular the sexual abuse of a child, we report it to law enforcement authorities without delay. You can appeal here too, but the content stays hidden while it is being reviewed, and if the violation is confirmed, we will not restore it.

3No harassment or hate

No threats, bullying, stalking or attacks on people for who they are — origin, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, age.

4No violence

No inciting, glorifying or threatening violence, and no events organised for that purpose.

5No sexual content

Amista is not a place for nudity or sexual material — not in profiles, posts, photos or chats.

6No self-harm content

Nothing that promotes or gives instructions for self-harm, suicide or eating disorders. If you're struggling, reach out to someone — Nezábudka helpline 0800 800 566.

7No spam or scams

No fake events, pyramid schemes, mass invitations, repeated unsolicited messages or content whose purpose is to sell something unrelated to the community.

8No illegal activity

No events, posts or messages that organise, sell or promote anything that is illegal where you are.

9Respect privacy

Don't publish other people's personal data, private messages or photos taken without consent.

10Keep events honest

Say what kind of event it is, where and when; don't lie about the price, the organiser or who is welcome.

11Report, don't retaliate

If something breaks these rules, report it from the app — a specific message or post is better evidence than a person. Reports made repeatedly in bad faith stop being counted.

What happens when a rule is broken

A post, event, comment, message or photo reported by three different people (with accounts older than 3 days) within 7 days is automatically hidden until a person reviews it; content reported as sexual content involving a minor is hidden immediately. You'll be told when this happens. The app won't accept a username or a community or event name with a prohibited word. A reviewer can hide or remove content, delete a name, title, description, bio or image, warn you, suspend the account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or permanently, or, for a serious violation, delete the account or deactivate a community. A suspended account can't write, and its content and calling card are hidden from others. Every measure counts as a violation, and a warning tells you which one it is. Each comes with a message in the app giving the statement of reasons described at the top. We keep removed content for 30 days so that an appeal can restore it. If you reported something, once we have reviewed it we'll tell you what we decided about the content.

Appeals

Write to appeals@amista.app or use the form at amista.app/support, from the email address on your account, saying what was removed and why you think the decision was wrong. You can appeal within 6 months; however, we can only restore removed content within 30 days. Your appeal is reviewed by a person — usually someone other than the one who made the original decision — and you'll usually get a reply within 7 days. You can also go to court or to the Council for Media Services (the Digital Services Coordinator in Slovakia, rpms.sk).

(You can use Amista from the age of 16. See also the terms, the privacy policy, our child safety standards and support and contact.)
